I have been to Eye Health in Dartmouth. I never have any problems there. The staff is courteous and very helpful. They always explain what will happen and what they are doing with the eye drops and what will happen. They usually take photos of the inside of my eyes so Dr. Westerfeld can see what is going on inside my eyes. Dr. Westerfeld always explains what he sees and if any problems are developing. More

I needed cataract surgery, as it looked like I was seeing through a cloud. Omni Eye Specialists were recommended by my eye doctor. I scheduled a consultation and they recommended a course of treatment that would restore my eyesight to near 20/20, and also correct the astigmatism I had in both eyes. Too be honest, the surgery left me a bit trepidatious, but the eye care professionals at Omni were very understanding and explained the whole procedure. Dr. Wang was the surgeon who performed the surgery and I didn't feel a thing. The procedure was quicker than I anticipated, but the results were fantastic! I was amazed at the difference in clarity and depth of vision. Colors popped and to say that I was a bit overwhelmed by the difference would be an understatement. The Dr. Wang and the staff at Omni Eye Specialists were extremely professional and courteous in explaining the initial surgery and provided excellent post-op consultation. The gift of sight is something that most, (to include myself) take for granted. But the professionals at Omni Eye, gave me the best Christmas present of all. They restored my sight, and for that I will be eternally grateful. If you are ever in need of cataract surgery or anything related to eye care, I cannot recommend Omni Eye Specialists highly enough. I went to Omni Eye Specialists both for a second opinion, and for new symptoms after seeing another eye doctor recently. I’m so glad that I did! They were thorough, efficient, friendly, punctual with holding my appointment time, and thoroughly explained what is going on with my eyes and my options. Chose Panoptix lenses for cataract surgery. They didn't get it 100%, so this option offered free refractive surgery to tweak my vision, if needed and we needed to do that. Arrived at a great result. Highly recommend! More

The eye doctor Katie is so amazing. She corrected my prescription that the other doctor there originally prescribed because she took extra tests and was very patient in letting my eyes readjust while doing the tests and was very understanding and gave me a prescription that is like a breath of fresh air. Visited this place for the first time on /1/24 with my 11 year old. He has anxiety with doctor appointments and it was a struggle to get him into the building. Once checked in, we were allowed to be distracted by looking at all the cool frames they have, and the nice pediatric frames they offer. When my little guy's name was called, he anxiously looked at me and i reassured him that his experience was going to be pleasant, and that it was. The assistant to the MD was wonderful and she was interacting with him along with getting all the work she had to get done, she reassured him that they were not going to blow air into his eye, and she was concise on listening to his concerns and what he experiences with his eyes, including the migranes he has recently been experiencing. Once the tech was done with her diagnostics, she excused herself and stated that the doctor would be in shortly. A brief minute later the doctor showed up and introduced herself to him directly. When she introduced herself, it helped my little one realize he was the one in control and he was going to be listened to. Despite my little one being fidgety and tired at the same time, Dr Baker patiently and compassionately completed her exam, even having to repeat herself a couple of times which she did so with a soft and gentle voice. Dr Baker explained at the end of the exam to my little guy that he could now go pick his new glasses, which we all know is the "fun" part. Picking glasses was easy and painless in their optical shop. Even though the pair of glasses he wanted were not covered by his insurance plan, he found another pair much like them in the area that were covered by insurance which he was happy enough with, for now. Eventually when we have the $200 for the Nike pair of glasses he likes we will order them but todays economy hasn't been kind to my family this year. So far the experience was pleasant and anxiety free for me and him. We look forward to picking up his glasses when they are ready. We are thankful for a pleasant and anxiety free experience Dr Baker and her staff offered to my 11 year old. More

I have been going here since I was a kid. And now I’m so Thankful that I Care Vision Center is now a provider for us Veteran's. Truly grateful because of the care, thoroughness of all the staff. I appreciate that they also provide the same services for my family too. The kids glasses with the great warranty after my youngest has gone through many several glasses. They also have provided the service of being able to fill my sports goggles glasses. They offer a Military discount thankfully because my extra glasses, and sports goggles are out of pocket. They have name brand frames and sunglasses. Definitely appreciate everything for eyes is here at one stop for the entire family and Veterans. More

I can’t say enough good things about this place after I received PRK LASIK surgery on both eyes here earlier this year. UPDATE: Dr. Allard rectified the situation once she realized they didn’t make my follow up a priority and I was seen by her again within a week, got a new prescription and I can see again!! Will definitely stay here as a patient for the foreseeable future. Came here for the first time ever yesterday, they decided to put numbing drops in my eyes AND THEN do my eye exam after, I could not see because of the drops they made my vision extremely blurry. They couldn’t finish my exam and said I’d have to come back and they’re booking into April. My vision has gotten worse and I’m getting headaches and I don’t feel like they took me seriously enough and I will not be returning. More

I saw Dr. West for the first time today. A year ago I had another optometrist refuse to check out my dry eyes (the main reason) I had come in without me making another appointment. And he hinted it might be a bigger issue that would require a referral to an opthomologist. Today, Dr. West in 2 minutes diagnosed the problem as clogged tear ducts and fixed them without me asking. I had simply mentioned I can't wear contacts any more because of my dry eyes and he said "let me take a look at that." Super grateful there are still a few doctors in the world who care about the wellbeing of their patients. More

My first time seeing an ophthalmologist, my primary dr. referred me to this office. Overall the appt. was good, I just had never had my eyes dilated before so that was weird. It lasted almost all day. I went early in the morning. I was told my eyes were healthy but I need glasses. I could have asked more questions but then I was prompted to pick out a pair right after and I couldn’t really even see. A little more clarity on the whole glasses part would have been appreciated. Price when to wear them etc. Thanks! More

Excellent office staff and eyewear team. Doctor R was able to figure out why my glasses usually make me feel so sick and worked with the eyewear team to make sure I got what I needed. Dr R was also experienced in my genetic disorder that can impact eyes and was able to do the exam I need routinely to monitor the concerns from my condition that I haven’t been able to find a provider to do before. I recently saw Dr. Quinn for an eye exam. I had some issues with my insurance and I assumed I would have to cancel and call them myself but the receptionist was so efficient and helped figure it out for me I was like wowed at the service... then the medical assistant who took me in was so detailed and friendly I never experienced such great customer service which is huge for me. But the doctor was by far my favorite she explained all of my medical issues with my eyes so well, you typically get doctors that say medical terms u don't understand and that scare u but not dr quin she explains things well and makes u feel relieved. I recommend this place for anyone on the island that needs a great eye doctor! 10 out 10! Recommending family to come here! More

My son was complaining about headaches. I called the front desk and the young lady was extremely pleasant and answered all my questions. Then got me an appointment for the same day. When we arrived the office was just coming back from lunch and very happy, full of laughter. That means the employees love their job. I called Icare Vision because of an issue I was experiencing with my left eye. They set me up with an appointment to see Dr Valenzuela the same day. The Dr had her techs take pictures of the inside of my eyes with 3 different devices and then we met again a few minutes later. I was impressed with the amazing pictures they produced of the back of my eyes and retina! Dr Valenzuela then showed me the pictures and explained what's going on with my eye. Within a few minutes I knew much more about my eyes than I ever thought I would. Knowing what's been going on is normal, and not dangerous, was a great relief. I learn so much every time I see Dr Valenzuela! I highly recommend Dr Valenzuela and Icare Vision Center! More

Never ever did I think I would be able to get rid of my headaches or that they were caused from my eyes. Dr West put me in neuro lenses and I haven’t had a headache one since I started wearing them. I had been going to Midwest Eye Clinic for several years, it was these same thing every time, no changes with Vision and the same Eye Exam and Eye Drops. My eyes had started burning for a long time and still the same diagnosis Eye Drops due to Dryness.. Well I decided to find another Doctor, after speaking with my Primary. Dr Cleaver and the entire Staff were very Professional and Caring from the time I walked in to the last minute of leaving. Dr Cleaver is a VERY GOOD EYE DOCTOR.!! Good Morning, I wanted to share some feedback from my cousin who recently had an emergency squeeze in visit. My cousin was experiencing decreased vision and pain in his eyes. He came in to see Dr Richard. After his appointment, my cousin was leaving the office, and stated to me that he was told to go directly to the hospital. Jody Furtado faxed over the notes from the visit. A couple of hours later, a Dr. from the hospital called to get notes from the visit refaxed over. Sherry Prenda called down to Jody and she again faxed them. She then had Megan Cruz fax the notes from the downstairs fax machine to ensure that the hospital received the fax. Jody then called from home to follow up. My cousin reached out to me yesterday and stated the following in a text. " So I had a minor stroke and an ocular stroke. On medications, my heart is fine, and my brain is fine. Just got released from the hospital. I wanted to thank you and all of your co-workers at Eye Health. This emergency visit probably saved my life" Sometimes we can all get caught up in the day to day aspects of our jobs, and can forget that what we do here at Eye Health Vision can have a big impact on someone's life. As a new patient at this office I figured this would be a relatively long process, paperwork, insurance verification etc etc. The receptionist told me that they were very backed up with appointments then said however I can squeeze you in in about a half an hour if you can hang around.... ABSOLUTELY!!! And just like that I saw the nurse they checked the quality of my vision dilated my eyes checked my depth perception etc etc and came the doctor fulfill me in on the details explaining exactly what type of glasses I needed after which I was sent out into the lobby introduced to the gentleman who showed me which frames and lenses were available and covered 100% by my insurance I made my choice and Bam I was out of there everything taken care of in about an hour and 15 minutes and I'll have my glasses in about 4 weeks!!!!! Dr Kenyon did an excellent job on the surgery on my cataract inflicted eyes. I now have 20/20 vision for the first time in my 60 years. Dr Reis has been excellent with my yearly check ups and the followups after surgery. Already recommended them to several other people and will continue to do so. More

I had a great experience at ReEnvision Eyecare. Dr. Patel and her staff are very friendly and easy going! She is very thorough in her eye exam. They used a digital refraction system which is very high tech and different than other eye doctor offices. I must say I had a very good experience here getting my first pair of glasses. I will be going back for my second pair in a few days. My only concern was I was never able to use the bifocal part. Hi My experience with this Cataracts episode is / was scary at first.. first, I didn't know why, or what was happening with My eyes.. thinking I was going blind was freaking Me out.. someone told Me I might have Cataracts.. this condition can be explained simply . look out a window without a screen in it.. thats Good eye sight.. now look out a window with a screen in it.. Your vision trying to see through the screen is impaired.. that's how Cataracts impact Your sight which gets worse .. Not sure how other Specialists are.. I had both cataracts removed . Of course I was scared but the entire eye team were wonderful . The procedure didn’t hurt at all - just the opposite . I called twice to make sure we were advised of all your Covid protocols. One troubling situation, experienced yesterday, was unexpected waiting time. Your employee, who advised myself and wife, about protocols, never mentioned the substantial possibility of significant extended waiting times attending a "consultation visit ". Attending any physicians office usually has an implication that a waiting time will be experienced. However, when you are using a companion driver, since your pupils are dilated, you need to provide expected waiting time information. The driver in waiting vehicle has little or no options to offset extended wait times. Combine both cold weather and attempting to avoid Covid exposure, you are stuck waiting in your vehicle outside your office. Aside from driver or patient not anticipating a 3+ hour office visit. I would suggest that you mention this to new patients. I would also recommend doing anything to enhance your sterile internal waiting rooms with TV and or coffee, water service . Upscale this visit and provide current magazines / newspapers just to enhance a new patient's experience. Yesterday I arrived at 10:10 for a 10:20 appointment. I provided necessary info on a touch pad kiosk. Then I waited and waited. Finally Ron, your amazing technician , received me and explained your examination process. He was thorough explaining and made sure all questions were understood & answered. Then I was returned to a smaller, no people, no anything sterile waiting room, for so long..... Finally a PA had me sit in another examination room waiting for Dr Wang. After more waiting I met Dr Jason W. He was also amazing describing the examination process and the risks and rewards for cataract surgery. Both Ron and Dr J were excellent , beyond expectations, explaining the complexities of what I would experience with two surgeries for correcting my eyes. I would rate and refer both Ron and Dr J as absolutely excellent!! The unexpected wait times and the sterile wait rooms sucked. So does living in a Covid environment suck!! Not your fault. Not mine or driver's fault. We're all just working and surviving during this crisis. I was pleased scheduling surgery and having additional related questions answered. Your messaging improved greatly by the end of this patient's consulting visit. I had an irritation in my eyes that wouldn't go away with eye drops at home so I called another eye doctor and the quickest I could get an appointment was approximately 1 month away. My daughter's family had been to see Dr. West and recommended him. I called and his staff set an appointment for that afternoon! I saw Dr. West right away and he said I had an infection in both eyes. He prescribed an antibiotic and set a follow-up appointment for a couple of days later. His office even called to check up on me in the meantime. His office has all state-of-the-art equipment and even a great selection of eyeware to choose from. I have found my eye doctor from now on! More

Amazing Results Eye Lid Surgery - I had eyelid surgery and loved Dr. Townsend and his wonderful staff. Dr. Townsend had a great bedside manner, was thorough and came with an extensive list of credentials. I booked my upper and lower lid blepharoplasty as soon as there was an opening. The day of my procedure everything went very smooth. His nurse was so comforting as I was a bit nervous. But it was so convenient, to be treated in a private surgical room and I was in and out without discomfort, in less than 2hrs. My results are fabulous! I healed so nicely within a week and the Doctor and staff called to check in on my progress, as I always felt supported if I had any questions during my recovery period. Absolutely excellent service. On my first visit, the first words out of Dr. West's mouth was " Are you ready to see today?" Sure enough, after about 10 years of constant visits with other Eye clinics, I was able to stop wearing hard contacts after constantly switching to a new pair every 2-3 months with other clinics. Dr. West had me in to glasses by the end of the week. I was so amazed. I could actually see tree bark up to 50-60 feet away by the end of the month. (Had to allow my eyes to adjust from having a hard contacts in for several years) Today is nearly year three. Im still in glasses with no problems. I only need these glasses for fine print reading, and long hours at my computer. **I HIGHLY recommend this eye clinic to anyone with any stage of Keratoconus. ** Please note, my eyes are cosidered to be in chronic stages. However, I had crosslinking done, this has haulted the progress of my condition. The contact I had made with this new machine he has fits perfectly. I have never been able to keep one in my left eye due to how advanced the keratoconus was before linking. I was honestly losing hope for my eyes. I thought i was going to be blind soon. I have been going here for over 4 years now. Yes at times there is a wait but it is usually because of emergencies. I receive shots in my eyes once a month, it has saved my vision! Doctor Mark Jackson is just the very best. I have been using him for our routine exams and corrections check ups for the last few years. I have always found him to be knowledgeable and extremely caring. Recently, I called the office for an emergency. The staff got me right in. I was in pain and Dr. Jackson saw me in short order. He examined me, discovered I had badly scratched my eye and was able to relieve my pain immediately. Day Two -Boston, MA - Everything seems to be healing well, but the scars are really red. The corners of my eyes are super itchy, not sure if it's the ragweed or some thing else. The eyes themselves are not red so I don't think it's any sort of conjunctivitis, which I've had in the past. I'm going to try to use warm compresses and more antibiotic ointment. I'll post pictures tomorrow. More

Day Two -Boston, MA - It's the morning of day two. Swelling but very little bruising. My vision is a bit blurry due to the swelling but I have zero pain. I have not taken pain meds since last night and woke up pain free. We'll see how it goes as the day wears on. I did take Arnica before surgery, do not smoke and abstained from alcohol for a week before(argh:)) I think all that helped with the minimal bruising. The procedure couldn't have gone better, I'm very pleased so far. I will update as often as possible.Updated on 9 Sep 2013:Those itchy steri strips came off, still no pain. Quite a bit of swelling beneath my eyes, probably didn't sleep as elevated as I should have. So far so good. Very minimal bruising.Updated on 10 Sep 2013:Swelling down a bit. Had a weird incident last night, I poked my self HARD in the eyelid with my thumbnail in my sleep. Woke up bleeding. Not too bad but not a few drops either. Cleaned it up this morning and since I can't tell exactly where I bled from I'm guessing ill live:) other than that I feel great, getting through another day.Updated on 11 Sep 2013:A bit of progress. My right eye is a bit bruised, either from poking myself in the eye the other night or from the cyst I had removed (round red scab). Extreme itchiness last night, not dry eyes but more like allergic itching in corners of eyes and at suture line. Took some OTC allergy medicine and feel a bit better today. Switched to warm compresses.Updated on 12 Sep 2013:Not much progress,but I'm getting paranoid that my eyes got smaller and have a "surgical" look to them. I can't WAIT to get these stitches out and see if the lid swelling goes down. Impatient.Updated on 13 Sep 2013:Decided last night that it would be a great idea to go for a run(Doctor approved). Today I have quite a bit of edema beneath my eyes. Not sure if its from the run,or from ......whatever. Stitches out tomorrow!!!!!! Dr. Townsend is the Best; I Am So Happy!! - Boston, MA - I went to see Dr. Townsend because my best friend said the was "the man". (She went to him a few years ago and she looks great.) I loved him, his nurse, the people at the desk, everyone. My upper lids were sagging and I had bags under my eyes. He submitted my surgery to my insurance company and they paid for my upper lids. I had to pay for my lower lids but he gave me a great deal. I am so happy! I still look like "me" but younger and fresher. He called me the night of the surgery to make sure I was doing OK. The little lift I would get from doing Botox was just not enough anymore...it was time. Excess eye lashes and eye lid lift - Dr Townsend has been treating me since last fall for excessive eye lashes that have been scratching my cornea. I found him to be very caring and very professional. I would recommend him to everyone. He is the best in his field. I have been wanting to review Dr. Townsend for a while and I suppose it's about time.To put it bluntly, Dr. Townsend has saved both my life and my eyesight. Literally. I was diagnosed with a very rare, cancerous tumor behind my left eye at the age of 13. Dr. Townsend performed the (more complicated than expected) surgery to remove the tumor and we have been BFF's ever since. Or something like that.I have read many reviews on other sites (doctor sites) about him and believe me, I know the good and the bad. I am, or rather, was, his youngest patient and despite having kids himself, I would not call him a kid person. He is direct, to the point, and extremely professional. I was also one of the most obnoxious patients in the world, given that there was a time in my life that I would whine and cry if he even tried to put eye drops in my eye, and he dealt with me the same way he would a 50 year old man -- suck it up, it needs to be done.He has since then performed numerous other surgeries and procedures on me, all in the hopes of saving my eyesight. We still hang out once a year or so when he checks up on me (which he will go out of his way and come in on days off to do) and gives me free eye drops (no more crying since I have to do it to myself about a half a dozen times a day).He is very often behind in schedule and his answering service can be a pain in the ass to deal with, making it almost impossible to make an appointment. BUT, if you can nail him down, he absolutely knows more about eyes than any of the other 500 doctors I saw before him and he is great at what he does. No one else touches my eyes and because of that, I still have vision in my left eye. I'm just waiting for the terrible day he tells me I need glasses (I look really bad in glasses). More
