About this Facility
The Greater New Bedford Surgical and Laser Center was opened in 1986 with the express purpose of rendering high quality, state-of-the-art eye surgery to patients of all ages, especially those with cataracts, glaucoma, retinal disease, or corneal disease. We also do oculoplastic procedures. The center is designed specifically with the needs of the patient and their family in mind, and the entire process, from initial examination in our clinics in the Eye Health Vision Centers upstairs to the final surgical outcome, is conducted in a pleasant and comfortable environment.
The Greater New Bedford Surgical and Laser Center also has the facilities to perform laser surgery for such eye disorders as retinal degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetes. Additionally, the doctors can also perform a procedure known as a “capsulotomy”, which is a procedure required in some post-cataract patients. Laser surgery is highly effective, safe, and quick.
The Greater New Bedford Surgical and Laser Center is mobility-accessible.
